About the Texas Education Research Centers (ERCs)

In 2006, the 79th Texas Legislature, 3rd Called Session, authorized the creation of three Education Research Centers or ERCs. The purpose of the centers is to conduct research that benefits education in Texas.

NEWS

U.S. Department of Education describes the Texas ERCs as “a model approach for the conduct of independent education research in accordance with FERPA requirements” and this “approach will become the preferred method for conducting longitudinal educational research with State education data.” See correspondences:
