Collaborative Community Network Enhancement Grants Preliminary Selection List
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) is pleased to inform you that the following applications have been preliminarily selected to receive a grant for the Collaborative Community Network Enhancement Grant. This preliminary selection was made after evaluation by a review panel composed of a diverse group of composed of college and university personnel, educators, and members of the business community.
The Collaborative Community Network Enhancement Grant project is designed to build network capacity by providing the salaries of regional web librarians and providing opportunities for training community members and web librarians within the Geographic Limitation (Exhibit A). CCNs can assist in bringing electronic access to a wide variety of resources at the community, school district, county, state and federal levels allowing community members full participation in an information-based economy. CCNs can also provide enriched local content development including providing community members with the ability to create, publish, or interact with the information through a variety of electronic means. Additionally, CCNs can provide for increased information access and collaboration with underserved populations within the community in the Geographic Limitation.
