The purpose of the Distance Learning for Secondary Migrant Students program is to provide alternative ways for migrant secondary students to earn credits toward graduation. Existing correspondence coursework already approved by the TEA is to be used to provide alternative credit options for migrant students enrolled in classes for credit (grade 8 for students taking classes for credit through grade 12, as well as for out-of-school youth (up to age 21) completing credits toward graduation).
