2007-2008 Texas High Schools That Work Enhanced Design Network, Cycle 2 Grant Program
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) is pleased to inform you that the following applications have been preliminarily selected to receive a grant for the Texas High Schools That Work Enhanced Design Network, Cycle 2 Grant Program.
The purpose of the Texas High Schools That Work Enhanced Design Network grant program is to implement the HSTW school improvement design as a framework that will transform high schools into ones that expand students’ opportunities to learn a rigorous academic core, create supportive relationships between students and adults, provide personal attention to parents and students, and focus school leadership on supporting what and how teachers teach. Campuses that receive funding from this grant will be required to demonstrate how a minimum of $10,000 in school district resources, which may include in-kind resources, will be dedicated toward the project; how the campus will utilize the HSTW design key principles and incorporate identified professional development into their campus improvement plans; and how they will sustain the program using other funding sources, including federal, state, local, or private funds, beyond the life of the project period.
