Improving Teaching and Learning/Texas Title I Comprehensive School Reform (ITL/CSR) Grant Program
The
Texas Education Agency (TEA) is pleased to inform you that the following applications have been preliminarily selected to receive a grant for the Improving Teaching and Learning/Texas Title I Comprehensive School Reform (ITL/CSR) Grant Program.
The purpose of the Comprehensive School Reform Program is to foster coherent schoolwide improvements that cover all aspects of a school's operations through curriculum changes, sustained professional development, and enhanced involvement of parents, based on a careful assessment of campus needs. Comprehensive School Reform funds are not intended to support separate projects that are "added-on" to existing program or projects within a school resulting in a piecemeal, fragmented approach to reform. The CSR grant encourages schools to examine successful, externally developed models for inclusion in their comprehensive school reform efforts that have well-researched and well-documented designs for schoolwide change and that have been replicated with proven results.
