American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Stimulus
Preliminary Planning Amounts for NCLB Programs
School Year 2009-2010

Preliminary planning amounts for the programs below included in the 2009-2010 NCLB Consolidated Federal ARRA/Stimulus Grant Application (SAS#NCLBST10) are now available for planning purposes.

Title I, Part A—Targeted and Incentive ONLY
Title I, Part D, Subpart 2

Please be mindful that eligibility for the ARRA/Stimulus Title I, Part A Preliminary Planning Amount is subject to change. A minimal number of LEAs will not meet the eligibility requirements for Title I, Part A—Targeted and Incentive Grants. An LEA not shown in the alphabetical list with a preliminary planning amount is not eligible based on the most current available eligibility data. Charter schools, South Texas ISD, Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired, and Texas School for the Deaf have preliminary planning amounts based on 2008-2009 eligibility. Final eligibility for these LEAs will be determined following submission of the SC5010—NCLB Data Request Form for Federal Funding by April 30, 2009, the submission deadline date, and the Texas Education Agency’s receipt of the U. S. Department of Education’s (USDE) final allocations in June 2009. The SC5010 does not pertain to school districts.

It is anticipated that revised ARRA/Stimulus planning amounts will be determined in June 2009 when all appropriate data become available to determine eligibility.

The ARRA/Stimulus funding for Title II, Part D will not be available from USDE until fall 2009. The Title II, Part D funding will be based on the relative amount an LEA receives for ARRA/Stimulus Title I, Part A—Targeted and Incentive funding.

The Applicant Designation and Certification (GS2230 ADC) form for school year 2009-2010 for the SAS#NCLBST10 is scheduled to be available on-line through eGrants on April 15, 2009.
