the Excel template to be used
for data collection.

the file to your computer.
- Follow instructions for the File

through eGrants. Do NOT e-mail the Excel spreadsheet to
TEA.

FAQ
How should I calculate the amount awarded in Columns F
(Amount awarded from the 75% pool) and G (Amount awarded from the
25% pool)?
The amount awarded for each staff member should be the total
gross allotment. Please indicate the award amount as determined
by the campus plan, NOT the net pay received in a staff member's
pay check.
What is a TEA SE login ID, and how do I obtain access?
A Texas Education Agency Secure Environment (TEA SE) logon ID validated
for the eGrants system is required to upload the file into eGrants.
If you do not have a TEA SE username and password that is validated
for eGrants, please go online to the following URL https://seguin.tea.state.tx.us/appsng/um/apply.aspx
and follow the instructions to obtain one.
What is the procedure for filling out the Excel template?
Click on the Download
the Excel template link above to download
the spreadsheet. There are two tabs on the Excel spreadsheet: The
“Data” tab is where to enter the information, the “Instructions”
tab clarifies the data elements being requested.
The instructions ask for staff members’ social security
numbers. Is this information required, or can a different identification
number be submitted instead?
Social security numbers are required to enable TEA to conduct its
evaluation of the GEEG program. Other forms of identification are
not sufficient. The TEA SE data upload is a secure process, and
all steps will be taken to ensure that the data is kept confidential.
Please contact (512) 463-8992 if you need additional information.
