Student Assessment
TAKS Region, District, and Campus Level Data Files

The Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) data files with results for each demographic category are available to download. Each data file is available as either a SAS™ data file or a comma-delimited ASCII text file. These data files are for use with statistical packages such as SAS™ and SPSS™. The number of variables in these files is too great to import into Access or some versions of Excel without significant truncation. Most of them are rather large and will take some time to download.

Variables
The first row of the data files contains the variable names. To see a complete list of variables by grade and a corresponding Excel file that contains information about the variable naming scheme, click on the following link: TAKS Variables, Formats and Descriptions
Select Criteria
Choose a data format, aggregate level, test type, grade level, and administration year then press the Download button at the bottom of the page. To maintain student confidentiality, test results are masked if fewer than five students are tested.
