September 28, 2001 SUBJECT: Student Financial Aid Workshops for Counselors The Texas Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (TASFAA) will conduct training programs again this fall for school counselors who assist students in seeking financial aid for post-secondary education. Regional workshops are approximately 2½ to 7 hours in length and will be conducted by TASFAA representatives according to the attached schedule. School districts are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to provide counselors with additional training in helping students pursue post-secondary educational opportunities. For additional information please contact the TASFAA member conducting the training in your region. The Texas Guaranteed Student Loan Corporation (in collaboration with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and the Texas Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators) operates the Texas Financial Aid Information Center.
