Enclosed is information regarding the Christa McAuliffe Fellowship Program. The goal of this unique state-based recognition program is to build the capacity of local schools by supporting teachers in their efforts to improve classroom instruction. A total of $50,000 will be awarded to a Texas teacher in the 2000-01 school year. Any full-time public or private school teacher with eight or more years of classroom experience is eligible to apply.
