Civil Action 5281 requires the Texas Education Agency to examine the extracurricular activities of every district in which the Agency is conducting an accreditation visit. Currently, your district is scheduled for review during the 1999-2000 school year. The purpose of this study is to ensure that there is no segregation or discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin relative to participation in such activities. As a part of the Agency's compliance with Title IX, the factor of gender has been included in this review.

Please reproduce the enclosed form as necessary to complete one for each secondary campus where cocurricular/extracurricular activities exist. Return the form(s) to the Equal Educational Opportunity Unit of the Texas Education Agency at your earliest convenience but no later than Friday, November 12, 1999.
