SUBJECT: Reporting Final Expenditures for Federal Projects Administered by the Division of Student Support Programs

Local Education Agencies (LEAs) are required to report Final Expenditures using the WEB-ER for the following Projects:

Title I, Part A¾Improving Basic Programs Operated by Local Education Agencies
Title I, Part E¾Comprehensive School Reform Demonstration Grant Program
Title VI¾Innovative Education Program Strategies
Title VI¾Class-Size Reduction Program
Title II, Part B¾Dwight D. Eisenhower Professional Development Program
Title IV¾Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities (SDFSC) Program
Title I, Part A¾Capital Expenses
Title I, Part D, Subpart 2¾Local Education Agency Delinquent Programs
Title I, Part D, Subpart 1¾State Agency Programs

Before submitting final expenditures, please ensure that as of June 30, 2000, salaries have been recorded using the modified accrual basis of accounting.

Projects must report final expenditures through WEB-ER by July 17, 2000. Upon completion of the Certification Panel on the WEB-ER, remember to click on "certify" at the bottom of the screen. Failure to "certify" will prevent the final expenditures from being transmitted to TEA.

Title I, Part A projects with a summer program or 12-month employees must report final expenditures through WEB-ER by August 15, 2000.

Approval of fiscal year 2001 projects is dependent upon receipt of the LEA's final expenditures for school year 1999-2000.
Revised Final Expenditure Report
The deadline for reporting revised final expenditures is September 15, 2000. Revised final expenditures reported after September 15, 2000, will not be used for cash disbursement or for determining roll-forward calculations. No exceptions will be granted.If the LEA is unable to access WEB-ER on September 15, 2000, the LEA must fax a letter to the Division of Student Support Programs at (512) 305-9447 stating the LEA's total expenditures for the 1999-2000 school year. The letter should be addressed to Mr. Royce Pietsch. Faxes received after September 15, 2000, will NOT be accepted.
