SUBJECT:  Upcoming webinars - Teacher Loan Forgiveness Benefits

In the upcoming weeks the Texas Education Agency (TEA) will be hosting multiple webinars about the Federal Teacher Loan Forgiveness Program. Please disseminate this information to teachers, Human resources staff and other recruitment staff.

What is the Federal Teacher Loan Forgiveness Program?

The Teacher Loan Forgiveness Program was created by the U.S. Congress to encourage individuals to enter and continue in the teaching profession, specifically in schools serving low-income families. Topics that will be covered will be

  1. who is eligible,
  2. how to fill out the application,
  3. frequently asked questions,
  4. other options loan forgiveness options.

To sign up for the webinars please visit: http://www.tea.state.tx.us/loan.aspx and click on the webinar date that best fits your schedule.
