Request for Offer (RFO) for Open-Source Textbooks

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) is soliciting offers to provide state-developed open-source textbooks. The purpose of this offer is to identify and acquire state-developed/state owned open-source textbooks that are available for downloading from the internet at no charge to a student and without requiring the purchase of an unlock code, membership, or other access or use charge to order an optional printed copy of all or part of the textbook.

For the initial RFO, applicants may submit content for one or more of the following: Literature I, Literature II, Literature III, Literature IV, English as a Second Language (ESOL) I and English as a Second Language II (ESOL II).

Request for Quote (RFQ) for Electronic Textbooks

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) is seeking qualified vendors capable of delivering electronic textbooks for inclusion on the Commissioner's List f Approved Electronic Textbooks and a separate list of technological equipment. For the purposes of this RFQ, the initital list of electronic textbooks will be for the English Language Arts and Reading and the Spanish Language Arts and Reading curriculum areas.
