NOTICE TO PUBLISHERS
Change in Proclamation 2000 Regarding Deadlines
The State Board of Education (SBOE) approved amendments to the schedule of adoption procedures for Proclamation 2000 at their November 9, 2001 meeting.† (See SBOE agenda item.)†† The attachment that is available with the SBOE agenda item was revised and the new schedule was distributed to the SBOE on November 9.† (See revised attachment).
One of the changes was the final date for publishers to file Statements of Intent to Bid Instructional Materials.† The date was changed from September 4, 2001 to December 3, 2001.
This new date gives publishers an opportunity to participate in the 2002 adoption who would otherwise not have participated due to the early February 2002 deadline for submitting new instructional materials.† This also gives publishers who have submitted Statements of Intents to Bid by September 4, 2001, the opportunity to revise or add to their statements.
The Statement of Intent to Bid is available on our website, along with instructions.† The forms may be submitted electronically to Penny Creed at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Other changes were made to the schedule, such as the final date for submission of official samples copies; the final date to withdraw an instructional materials submission; the final date for publishers to file lists of editorial changes and corrections; and the final date for publishers to submit changes, additions, and deletions in response to the Commissionerís preliminary report.† Please review the changes to the schedule very carefully.† Again, the changes are annotated in the revised attachment from November 9, 2001.
If you have any questions regarding the forms or the adoption process, please do not hesitate to contact Penny Creed at (512) 463-9601.
