January 10, 2011 TO THE ADMINISTRATOR ADDRESSED: SUBJECT: Re: Revised Advanced Career and Technical Education (CTE) Allotment Amounts To the Administrator Addressed: This letter is to inform you that the advanced CTE allotment amounts will be changed because of a revision in the methodology used to determine them. The advanced CTE allotment amounts were calculated with the fall Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) enrollment data but should have been calculated with the summer PEIMS attendance data. The advanced CTE allotment amounts were also initially calculated on a per-student basis. The revised amounts have been calculated on a full-time equivalent (FTE) basis. The Texas Education Agency (TEA) will adjust the state funding for the advanced CTE allotment on the Summary of Finances in January 2011.
