SUBJECT: Tuberculosis Outbreak and Intervention

The purpose of this correspondence is to share information related to the prevention and intervention of tuberculosis among school-aged youth.  The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) is currently involved with a tuberculosis investigation in a North Texas school district. DSHS has prepared the attached document with pertinent information to help alleviate concerns of parents and guardians that have children in schools where tuberculosis may be present.
