SUBJECT: Application for 2010-2011 Life Skills Program for Student Parents Grant
The application for the 2010-2011 Life Skills Program for Student Parents Grant (SAS# LSSPAA11) will be available in eGrants on Monday, July 26, 2010.
Eligible Applicants
Life Skills Program for Student Parents grant is a continuation grant. Only local educational agencies (LEAs) that had a Life Skills grant in 2009-2010 are eligible to apply for a grant in 2010-2011.
Allocations
Allocations for the Life Skills grant can be viewed by selecting the “Entitlements by Program” link in the Formula Funding Toolbox at the TEA Grant Opportunities website at http://burleson.tea.state.tx.us/GrantOpportunities/forms/. They can also be viewed on the Life Skills Program for Student Parents page of the TEA website at http://www.tea.state.tx.us/pep/index.html.
Deadline to Apply
The deadline to apply is Friday, September 24, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. Central Time.
How to Apply
The Life Skills Program for Student Parents grant is available by logging on to eGrants. A Texas Education Agency Secure Environment System (TEA SE) username and password are required to log on to eGrants. Please visit the following URL to log on to eGrants through the TEA SE system: https://seguin.tea.state.tx.us/apps/logon.asp.
Reporting Deadlines
Reporting deadlines for the 2010-2011 Life Skills Program for Student Parents grant are listed in the table below. LEAs that are awarded grants are responsible for meeting all required deadlines. Failure to meet deadlines may result in loss of funds and could cause the LEA to be identified as “high risk.”
