SUBJECT: Gun-Free Schools Report (SSP-445R00)
Enclosed is the Gun-Free Schools Report which must be completed by the LEA and returned to the Division of Student Support Programs at the Texas Education Agency by June 13, 2000. This report must also be completed by regional educational service centers (ESCs) who provide any services to youth at the service center facilities.
Completion of this report is required in order to receive funding under programs included in the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA).
Attachment 1 provides clarification concerning the U.S. Department of Education's definitions related to the Gun-Free Schools Act Annual Report on Student Expulsion.
