SUBJECT: 2007–08 Revised Summary of Finances

TO THE ADMINISTRATOR ADDRESSED:

A revised Summary of Finances (SOF) and other related reports for the 2007–2008 school year have been posted to the School Finance website of the Texas Education Agency (TEA) at www.tea.state.tx.us/school.finance/. A summary of relevant information about the data updates in these reports, including planned future updates, is provided below.

Technology Allotment
A report entitled Technology Payment Report, indicating your district’s estimated technology allotment for the 2007–08 school year and the adjusting “settle-up” amount for the 2006–07 school year, has been appended to the last page of your SOF.

The adjusted allotment was sent to your district’s depository in February. Please keep in mind that this payment is based on estimated refined ADA indicated in the LPE column of your 2007–08 SOF. Another “settle-up” will occur next January when 2007–08 final ADA is known.

Please note that, based on the $127,800,000 appropriation available at this time, your district’s actual technology payment for 2007–08 has been computed using $29.591 per ADA, instead of $29.42 per ADA, as estimated in September 2007.
