ACTION REQUIRED January 16, 2007 TO THE ADMINISTRATOR ADDRESSED: The State Auditor's Office, the independent auditor for the State of Texas, is performing an audit of textbook inventory accountability at the Texas Education Agency (TEA). As part of this audit, the State Auditor's Office is surveying all district and charter school textbook coordinators about the systems and processes they use to inventory their districts' or charter schools' textbooks. An on-line survey will be posted on the State Auditor's Office Website from January 16, 2007 through January 26, 2007. Please advise your district's or charter school's textbook coordinator to complete the survey as soon as possible. The State Auditor's Office has sent a separate email to each textbook coordinator notifying them about the survey and providing instructions on how to access and complete the survey.
