A form has been posted on the TEA School Finance Website
that can be used by school districts and charter schools that enroll
50 or more students who are evacuees of Hurricane Katrina to report
this increase in enrollment. The form must be completed, including
the date and signature of the superintendent of the district or CEO
of the charter school, in order to be processed. Instructions for
submitting this information are included on the form. Forms will be
processed at the end of each calendar month, and increases to funding
will be reflected on the next regularly scheduled payment from the
Foundation School Program. Districts that submit requests for increased
funding should expect to receive a survey later in the school year
requesting follow up information on the attendance and enrollment
of these students. If you have questions about the form or related
