Subject: Updated Near Final 2004-05 Summary of Finances

The “Near Final” Summary of Finances (SOF) for the 2004-05 school year has been updated and posted to the school finance website under the “Current 04-05 Summary of Finances”.

- Transportation Allocation: This summary reflects the latest transportation allocation, which is based on the district’s 2004-05 transportation allotment as calculated from data submitted on the 2004-05 Route Services Report.

- Additional Aid for School Employee Benefits: For only the Hold Harmless Chapter 41 districts, this summary reflects the latest calculation of the “Total Amount Available For Heath Insurance Purposes”, which is based on the latest district’s 2004-05 Cost of Options Reports.

The “Projected Balance as of 8/31/05” amount indicated on page 5 of this summary represents the effect this recalculation of state aid has had on the district. If this is a positive amount, the refund will be sent to the district’s depository in the near future. If this is a negative amount, the recovery will be made by reducing the monthly payments from the 2005-06 Foundation School Fund beginning with the October 2005.
