On December 15, 2011, Earnest Learner, a 16 year old student held up and robbed the cash register contents of a local corner store. He was arrested by the local police and released to his parents. The incident was investigated by the school district staff and no crime was believed to be committed on campus grounds so Student was not placed in DAEP.
